What is the Lancashire Arts Festival?

This year marks the official launch of the Lancashire Arts Festival with our staff and students from the Faculty of Culture and Creative Industries working hard to create an extensive programme of degree shows, performances and events for a range of audiences.

Degree Shows

Our graduating students from the Faculty of Culture and Creative Industries have worked hard to bring their work to life for this year’s Degree Shows. Opening with a Private View on Friday 9 June, the Degree Shows welcomed a range of audiences from prospective students interested in a career in the creative industries to business people who are keen to engage with the University’s creative talent.

Talented students showcased their work, including Graphic Design student Harriet Richardson, who has recently shocked tutors by winning 3 awards in this year’s D&AD New Blood awards! http://www.uclan.ac.uk/news/harriet-richardson-graphic-design.php

Performances & Events

Performance at the University attracts students from a variety of backgrounds, each with their own style and passion. This was shown at our events, which included Swerve from Music Production students, Future Sound from Music students, Illumination and Nostalgia from Theatre students and three performances from our Dance Performance and Teaching students including Borders and Boundaries, Intersect and In Motion, performed at our PR1 Gallery, Media Factory and Preston Minster.
